Cracking the Code: Phil Sharp & The Biotech Revolution

Narrated by Mark Ruffalo, this documentary tells the story of Nobel Prize winning scientist Dr. Philip Sharp and his contributions to the field of biotechnology. In 1977, Dr. Sharp discovered RNA splicing which led to rapid developments in molecular biology that would forever alter the landscape of medicine and pharmaceuticals from synthetic insulin to the COVID-19 vaccine. This screening will be followed by a panel discussion exploring the science within the film.
