OVERVIEW
WHO:
Bernie Leddy, the Chieftain of the Doyle System, is coming to upstate NY for the first time to teach the amazing martial art of Bataireacht or Irish Stick Fighting! This is your chance to train with the head of the Doyle system!
WHAT:
Come train in BATAIREACHT, the historic art of Irish stick fighting! An art rooted in the ancients warrior traditions of the Celts, this dynamic system came to true form in the 18th and 19th centuries in the faction fights brought on by the British occupation of Ireland.

Saturday, August 2nd and Sunday, August 3rd
4 hours of training- 10am-12pm (1 hour break for lunch) and 1pm-3pm
WHY:
Fun, fitness, and self-defense! Have a great time, meet new friends, swing a stick, and learn one of the world’s oldest “new” martial arts. While Irish stick fighting goes back hundreds of years, it was never taught publicly until the 1990’s. This art is having a massive resurgence! Come learn the lost art of Bataireacht, be a part of Irish history, and help bring Irish stick fighting to the world!
HOW:
Learn the Doyle system through hands on training with the head of the Doyle system himself, Bernie Leddy, taught in a safe and friendly environment. Additional coaches and instructors will be in attendance for additional support as needed,
COST:
One day (Saturday or Sunday)- $ 75 per person prereg or $85.00 at the door
Two days (both Saturday and Sunday) $135 per person prereg or $150 at the door
Lunch on both days is the responsibility of the participant (plenty of restaurants nearby)

TRAVEL:
For those flying in, plan to arrive at the Albany International Airport the day prior or early the morning of the seminar. Book your flights early!
For those traveling by train, your destination will be the Rensselaer Amtrak Station.
Travel from these destinations to the hotel or venue will be the responsibility of the participant.
NOTE: The airport, hotel, and venue are all within 10-15 minutes of each other!

Both single and double rooms are available for the price of $119 per night (plus any applicable taxes and hotel charges). We have contracted a block of 30 rooms at this price so book early to guarantee your room! Deadline date for hotel registration is 07/21/25.

• Lunch each day is the responsibility of the attendee (plenty of restaurants close by).
• Travel to the hotel or venue will be the responsibility of the attendee.
