Hardcore Punk, Power Violence

Violencia is a 4 piece band, created around 2018 in the dark corners of the other side of the border in TIJUANA, Mexico. The sound is fast, heavy, hardcore punk influenced by bands such as INFEST, LOS CRUDOS, NARCOSIS, TOTAL FURY, NEGATIVE APPROACH, PARALISIS PERMANENTE, EXTORTION and HHH; trying to create a fusion between punk, hardcore, post punk, doom metal and power violence. The lyrics driven by anger and hedonism go from political to existencial topics, denouncing inequality, micro-violence and hypocrisy on human relations. After some years of playing the band has published 1 EP (EL ODIO ME HIZO HACERLO), 2 SPLIT 7” (w/ Double me [italy] and w/Depraved ) and a 12” album title “VIVIENDO TIEMPOS AÚN MÁS OSCUROS”.

Zwei Bassgitarren, Schlagzeug, Ende! Bei OCTO gibt es weder Gesang noch eine E-Gitarre im klas-sischen Sinne. Beide Bässe sind grundsätzlich verzerrt und aggressiv. Das Schlagzeug spielt umtriebig und rastlos. Wer aufgrund der Besetzung von einem warmen, fetten Sound ausgeht, liegt falsch. Vielmehr geht es bei OCTO darum, einen möglichst direkten Sound zu produzieren. Unmittelbar, hart und spröde im Klang. Facettenreich, versiert und wendig in der Umsetzung.
