Perkins Center for the Arts is proud to announce the opening of two new exhibitions on September 8, 2025, that delve into timely and thought-provoking themes. The exhibitions, running through October 31, will feature a diverse group of artists whose work addresses environmental and social issues. The community are invited to an opening reception on Saturday, September 13, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
In the Main Gallery will host "Evoke & Provoke," a collaboration with Atlantic City-area artists. The exhibition reframes social narratives through powerful poetry and painting. The featured artists—Lennox Warner, Charles Barwin, Johnny Morris, and Dimitri Reyes—use their respective mediums to explore current social themes, offering a unique and compelling perspective.
Concurrently the Loft Gallery, Perkins presents, “Earth: Resilience and Rebirth”, an exhibition centered on the theme of environmental activism and climate change. The show will feature a striking monoprint by artist Doris Nogueira-Rogers, and ceramics by Alan Willoughby. The works aim to engage viewers in a critical conversation about the pressing environmental challenges facing our planet.
