Step into the exciting world of music creation in this beginner-friendly Music Production Workshop! Participants will get an overview of the production process, exploring tools and terminology—including software, hardware, and basic music theory. Through an interactive "watch-and-learn" format, the workshop covers key stages like pre-production, production, and post-production. It also touches on critical topics like cybersecurity, copyright, and the role of technology in modern music-making. Perfect for individuals or families, this session is fun, educational, and hands-on. All equipment and materials are provided, just bring your imagination! Registration required! (Aimed at young adults and above. Kids aged 7+ are welcome with an adult.)

About the Presenter
Alex Ovando Alex Ovando is the founder and heart of Music Box, our June Local Business of the Month. Originally from Guatemala City, Guatemala, Alex's love for music and passion for teaching led him to Memphis, TN, where he has taught guitar, bass, piano, drums, and music production for over 20 years. His vision for Music Box is to teach music as a language and to build a team of educators who share the mission of helping aspiring musicians grow into happier, more confident versions of themselves. Outside of Music Box, Alex is active in the local community and enjoys spending time with his wife, Yelena, and their two musical children, Marco and Sofia.
