The Alaska Joint Electrical Apprenticeship & Training Trust (AJEATT) is currently accepting applications for apprenticeships in the Inside Wireman, Outside Lineman, Telecommunications, and Tree Trimmer trade in Anchorage and Fairbanks. Applications must be complete by September 30, 2025, to qualify. All qualifying applicants will be scheduled for an interview.
Minimum qualifications:
1. Be a minimum of 18 years of age at the time of selection.
2. Have a valid Alaska drivers' license.
3. Have a high school diploma or state-issued GED certificate.
4. Meet the minimum math requirement through one of the following:
a. Two semesters of high school algebra 1 (or higher-level algebra) with a passing grade of āCā or higher,
b. one post-high school algebra course with a passing grade,
c. a certificate showing completion of the NJATC tech math course, or
d. the State of Alaska WorkKeys math test with a ā6ā or higher.
You must submit all of the following items to be considered for an interview:
1. Online application form;
2. Copy of Alaska driver's license;
3. OFFICIAL transcripts for high school and post-high school education and training, including GED records if applicable;
4. Copy of high school diploma or GED certificate (high school transcripts are sufficient if they state that you obtained a diploma);
5. Documentation showing that you meet the minimum math requirement;
6. Pay the $25 application fee.
If you served in the U.S. military within the last 5 years, or if you can document over 2,000 hours of electrical construction experience, different qualifications may apply to you.
