Leaders usually lead ganchos for their follower but do not so often get to do a gancho themselves. For a leader to gancho their follower, they also have to lead the follower's step to align her in a way that gives an opportunity for his gaucho. Followers need to follow accurately and in a specific way, making no assumptions about sequences, in order to open up the possibility of being ganchoed by the leader. At this intensive workshop Miriam Gita will give you specific techniques that allow you to lead or follow leader's ganchos. The right technique with which you take a step in tango will help you unlock your potential to noticeably improve your tango.
The technical skills vital to achieving this will be taught in great detail and you will be given options to make it attainable and satisfying whether you want an ambitious challenge or a simple introduction to the concept. You will also be given exercises for homework designed by Miriam Gita to help you develop the strength, control, flexibility and balance necessary to dance Argentine tango well.
