Costumed Characters

This summer, step into the past at Colchester Castle. Throughout the school holidays, historical characters will be roaming the Castle’s galleries, ready to challenge you with riddles, play games, and bring history to life.

These playful, informal encounters are perfect for families and curious visitors of all ages.

This event is included as part of Castle admission. There’s no need to book – the sessions are included with Castle admission. Just turn up and see who you might meet!
