An Evening with Elodie Harper

We are thrilled to be hosting an event in collaboration with Colchester Castle for Elodie Harper's newest book, Boudicca's Daughter, with none other than Dan Jones chairing the event.

Elodie is a Sunday Times bestselling author, known for her acclaimed Wolf Den trilogy set in ancient Pompeii, and locally for her brilliant crime fiction set in East Anglia. Another Sunday Times bestseller, Dan is a historian who specialises in the medieval period, as well as being a novelist and TV presenter.

And what better setting for our event than Colchester Castle, built upon the former site of the Temple of Claudius that was sacked when Boudicca's armies besieged Colchester in c.AD 60/61. However, this is not the story of Boudicca, but one of the women who grew up in her shadow; her daughter, Solina.
