Exhibition Opening: Spur of the Moment

Step into the style and spirit of the American West with Spur of the Moment: Iconic Styles of the American West, a dynamic new exhibition at the Buffalo Bill Center of the West. Explore the fashion that defined the West—from classic hats and boots to timeless denim—and discover how Western style has evolved over the decades.

Drawing on the McCracken Research Library’s extensive photographic and archival collections, the exhibit showcases a rich tapestry of Western culture. Highlights include select artifacts such as the thrilling addition of Justin Timberlake’s Space Cowboy Tour vest and jeans, generously loaned from the Levi Strauss & Co. Archives.

Visitors can get hands-on with a touch wall of Western fabrics and try their creativity with a magnetic outfit station, where you can mix and match pieces to create your own Western look.

Spur of the Moment opens October 25, 2025, in the John Bunker Sands Gallery and runs through March 1, 2026. Don’t miss this vibrant celebration of Western fashion and culture!
