The League of Women Voters and the Girls Scouts of Southeast Florida will partner in a community workshop to inform South Floridians about “The State of the Florida Girl.”
The Girl Scouts released an 80-page peer-reviewed research report that tells the story of the pressure Florida girls feel, and the toll it takes on them.
The program is FREE and open to all.
Elle Harrigan, chief advancement officer for the Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida, will offer the keynote presentation, followed by a panel of community leaders, including Broward School Board Member Sarah Leonardi and Emilia Vilaire-Monchery, United Way senior director of Community Impact Education Initiatives.
The panel will take questions and there will be a discussion with those attending.
Also check out other Workshops in coconut creek.
Tickets for The State of the Florida Girl can be booked here.
