Celebrate the land, people, and voices of Alberta through music that is familiar, fresh, and deeply rooted.
Featuring music by Alberta composers Virginia Jessica Sparvier-Wells, Donovan Seidle, and Daniel Pelton, alongside Beethoven’s beloved Pastoral Symphony No. 6, this concert is inspired by the landscape around us. From the vastness of the Alberta plains to the power of a summer storm, the program captures the beauty and energy of our wild environment through sound.
Interactive elements make this concert unique: a live visual artist will paint in real time during the performance, with the finished artwork available for purchase afterwards. The audience will also have a chance to learn and echo a short rhythmic pattern, becoming part of the soundscape.
