Our Lady's Role: A Talk by Dr. Joseph Bradley

For many Catholics the Virgin Mary, Our Lady, the Mother of God, is indivisible and intrinsic to their faith. This talk considers Mary’s role in the the redemption of the world. It looks at the growing veneration of Mary within the early Church, and notes some of the dogmas and councils that relate to understandings of Our Lady. It also looks briefly at apparitions approved by the Church, including, Guadalupe, Fatima and Lourdes. The idea of conversion can be viewed as constant throughout Our Lady’s messages while simultaneously integral to the Gospels. In this vein, this talk also reflects on the significance and power of the most Holy Rosary – a staple prayer throughout the ages for millions of Catholics.
