Free entry to our incredible 17th Century House to learn about its rich history:
Learn how its former inhabitants were connected to the Gunpowder Plot, marvel at the bed where King Richard III was rumoured to have slept and learn how the House and its inhabitants were protected from evil spirits. Our resident lutenist, Nick Gravestock, will be playing music in the House and will be on hand to talk about the instruments used during the period. To really see the history of the house come to life, take a guided tour with one of our enthusiastic volunteers!
Wander through our tranquil gardens and orchard:
You will find plants, herbs and vegetables that are grown authentically – just like when the house was in use. Our garden volunteers will also be on hand to answer any green-thumbed questions you might have.
