From Struggles to Soaps: A New Mexico Family's Journey to Healing Through Goat Milk Products!
Our story began with service and sacrifice. After my husband was diagnosed with chronic PTSD following his time in the U.S. Air Force, our family faced a difficult transition. Life became a daily battle of uncertainty and emotional challenges. In an effort to bring healing into our home, we moved to a small farm and began raising animals-an unexpected but life-changing decision.
It was through this farm life that we found our purpose. One day, my husband helped deliver a struggling baby goat. Afterward, he turned to me and said, "This is the first time I brought life in and didn't take it out." That moment shifted everything. We knew we were on a new path-one that could bring healing, not just to us, but to others.
As we grew into our new lifestyle, we looked for ways to make it meaningful and sustainable. Around the same time, our son developed severe eczema, and I discovered the benefits of goat milk for sensitive skin. I began researching, experimenting, and creating natural goat milk soaps and lotions from scratch. After many failed batches and a lot of learning, I found the recipes that worked-and that people loved.
What started as a healing project for our family quickly turned into a growing business.
The support from friends, family, and our community was overwhelming. We got our business license and began selling locally. Today, three years later, we're proud to offer a wide variety of handcrafted goat milk products including lotions, soap bars, shampoo and conditioner bars, sugar scrubs, lip butters, lip scrubs, candles, loofah bars, bath soaks, and more. We also create custom items for gifts and special occasions.
Our products are now carried in multiple stores and purchased by wholesalers. But more importantly, each product represents a piece of our story-resilience, renewal, and the healing power of simplicity.
We're proud to call New Mexico home and to share our journey with others who may walking through struggles of their own. What began as a way to survive has become way to thrive-and were just getting started.
