Feathers for Rosa

THEATRE: Feathers for Rosa performance is so much more than a play, featuring artworks, poetry, live music and film. White Feathers collected from the Berlin canal swans symbolise Rosa Luxemburg's struggle for peace during WWI.

Juxtaposed with Emmeline Pankhurst’s White Feather Campaign, they transform this erstwhile badge of shame into a symbol of defiance and peace in her name.

Created by Noël O’Callaghan, a visual artist and performer and Douglas Henderson a composer, producer and performer. They have lived in Berlin for many years and are now based in West Cork.

This inspiring performance will be followed by a discussion with the artists on the power of art for engagement and transformation. Book on creativebandon.ie, concessions, and family tickets are available.
