An Introduction to Scything - One Day Course

Join us for a hands-on Austrian-style scything workshop with tutor Raphaelle Martin, where you’ll:
🔸 Learn to set up and sharpen a scythe
🔸 Master mowing techniques
🔸 Explore haymaking, W**d management and meadow care
🔸 Discover the peaceful, purposeful art of scything

Used since the mid-1500s, scything is making a comeback and for good reason. This technique allows for selective cutting, helping insects and wildflowers thrive while you manage grass and vegetation sustainably.

📍 Workshop includes 6 hours of learning in the CECAS orchard with a small group, a scythe to use for the day, and a delicious light lunch.
