🎃☀️ SUMMERWEEN IS HERE: A ROLLER DERBY DOUBLE HEADER TO CHILL YOUR BONES THIS SUMMER ☀️🎃
This August ghosts, ghouls, and glitter will take over the track for Summerween, a bone-rattling roller derby double header you don’t want to miss! Join CNY Roller Derby and Ladies Death and Derby Society for a frightfully fun night of fierce competition, outrageous costumes, and spooky summer spirit.
The event kicks off with a high-stakes showdown as our new mash up home team, Upstate Universe, takes on the visiting Long Island Roller Rebels, in a full-length game that promises monster action.
Then, the mayhem continues with a special fundraising Summerween Scrimmage. Players from near and far don their spooky-season-meets-beach-day looks, in a silly version of roller derby with altered rules, and a twist. Fans can influence the gameplay and outcome of the scrimmage through donations. Will the teams have to hit each other with pool floats? Will skaters turn into zombies? Creep with us on Saturday, August 23! Bring cash to participate in Summerween by paying to change the rules and shake things up!
