This course is a comprehensive two-day program designed to help participants build on foundational kayaking knowledge and develop essential skills for safely enjoying day trips on sheltered waters. This course prioritizes safety while fostering fun and friendships among participants. Our inclusive approach ensures everyone feels welcome and supported. Under the guidance of experienced instructors, while ensuring they have the safety and environmental awareness needed for kayaking. The course consists of both on-land theory sessions and hands-on practice on the water.
Key Highlights of the Course:
Skill Development: Focus on essential strokes for kayak control, techniques for safely exiting and re-entering the kayak after a capsize, and solo and partner re-entry skills.
Practical Knowledge: Includes navigation, route planning, weather considerations, risk assessments, and making the right equipment choices for kayaking.
Supportive Learning Environment: Designed for beginners, the course creates a fun and supportive atmosphere where participants can learn, make new friends, and build confidence.
