Learn to Prune Fruit Trees with me!
Join me at the Organic Farm School for an informative afternoon! In this class, I will help you understand the basics of how trees grow and make fruiting wood to help you understand how to make pruning decisions. We will begin in the classroom for an explanation of the basics, and will then move out into the orchard to learn how to apply those basics. We'll evaluate the trees and discuss the pruning strategies employed both past and present so you can gain a deeper understanding of how and why to make pruning decisions in your own orchard. We will focus on Apple and Pear and will also discuss Cherries, Plums and Peaches.

This class will happen rain or shine, warm or cold. Please dress for the weather, and be prepared to be 60-90 minutes on uneven terrain/wet grass. Class size is limited, so sign up soon!

When: Saturday January 17, 1-3:30 pm.
Where: Organic Farm School on Maxwelton Rd.
