Calling all gardeners! The Clinton Public Library is offering a space if you have extra produce, herbs or flowers from your garden and would like to share them with the community.
Once per month, from June – October, we will set up a space for donations. Everyone is encouraged to bring your own bag to carry produce, or a receptacle for flowers, to donate what you can’t use and to take only what you need.
This program will help prevent food waste from area gardens and promote kindness within our community.
For anyone sharing, this is what we ask:
- Arrive no more than 30 minutes beforehand. Tables are provided.
- Produce and flowers be fresh and usable. Anything overly ripe or show signs of spoilage is not suitable. No items that require refrigeration.
- You must remain on site if you are sharing. Anything not taken will need to be taken away by the person that brought it, even if you have to leave early.
- Items cannot be sold on-site, outside, or in the parking lot. No money exchange is allowed as this is a free community event.
- Registration is required for anyone bringing items to share and you will be asked to sign a copy of our procedures so we can book a table for you. All sharing will be done in the Multi-Purpose Room on the 2nd floor. Register here:

(Anyone sharing can keep a tally for their table and give it to whoever is working in genealogy when they leave.)
