Creative Explorers with the Sawmill Museum: Lift It, Move It, Throw It!

Step into the world of lumberjacks and engineers with Andy Green from the Sawmill Museum!

Kids will explore how force and motion help us lift, move, and even throw like the pros. Working in teams, participants will take on the Log Lift Challenge, using simple machines to move logs. Then, they’ll test their aim in a safe, kid-friendly axe throwing activity—learning how angles, momentum, and motion come into play. It’s hands-on science, history, and fun all rolled into one!

Creative Explorers is a free STEAM program for K-5th graders that occurs every Tuesday at 3:30 p.m.
