1914: A World War Stops for Christmas

Clinton Historical Society Outreach Coordinator Joe Schmidt will talk about how soldiers on both sides of World War I put aside their differences to celebrate the holidays. Learn about the origins of the war and how, even after brutal conditions on the battlefield, soldiers met in no man’s land to greet each other, exchange messages and gifts, and play soccer.
