Event: 100th Anniversary Celebration – Clinton Women’s Club at the George M. Curtis Mansion
Date & Time: Sunday, August 24th • 1:30–3:30 PM
Location: 420 5th Ave S., Clinton, Iowa
Join us as we celebrate a remarkable milestone — the 100th anniversary of the Clinton Women’s Club purchasing the elegant mansion of lumber baron George M. Curtis.
The public is invited to this special open house. Admission is $5, and guests will enjoy ice cream and cake while exploring this treasured historic home.
In 1925, the International Office of the Federated Women’s Club in Washington, D.C., encouraged all Women’s Clubs to purchase and maintain a mansion for future generations. While many clubs took on this mission, few have been able to preserve these properties over time. The Clinton Women’s Club is proud to be among the select few who have maintained ownership for a full century.
Come be part of this living history celebration and honor the legacy of community, preservation, and dedication that has kept the George M. Curtis Mansion standing strong for 100 years.
