Intermediate Ceramics

Tuition: $195, plus cost of clay ($30 per 25lb bag)

Ages: Adult

Students will be working on expanding their basic knowledge and skills in this intermediate class.

They will begin by throwing larger pieces on the wheel and working on the consistency of the variety of shapes and sizes. Next, they will throw different-sized pitchers, learn how to add handles, and spouts/lips for pouring. Then they move on to lidded pieces like butter bells, as well as tall cylinders and plates. The class will finish off with hand building techniques, integrating textures into their pieces, and glazing to finish their pieces.
