Beginning Blacksmithing

Gain a strong foundation in the art of blacksmithing. Along with fire maintenance and hammer control, learn core techniques for hand-forging tapers, bending and twisting to create hooks and a coat rack. People of all ages and genders can excel at blacksmithing.

Come prepared to have a lot of fun and leave with your own hand-forged ironwork. Please bring safety glasses, heavy work gloves, and hearing protection.

Tuition: $165; plus additional materials fee of $10, paid to instructor at class

Ages: 13-Adult (under 13 can work together with a supervising adult on the same forge)
