Take a Hike: Monumental Tour

TAKE A HIKE® offers FREE, (typically 90 minutes long), in-person walking tours of unique and historic neighborhoods in Cleveland!

The interactive walking tours are led by knowledgeable guides that will share fascinating facts about historical assets and key figures that helped make Cleveland a special place. You'll learn about architecture, cultural development, historic preservation, and Cleveland's role in American history. New development projects are also highlighted. Along the way, you'll meet important figures from Cleveland’s past, portrayed by actors and actresses, who will share with you their stories.

The Monumental Tour meets outside Rebol in Public Square. Please arrive 15 minutes early as the tour starts promptly.

About the Tour:

Discover the stories behind downtown Cleveland’s monuments and statues—each one a tribute to the people, events, and ideals that shaped the city. From towering tributes to unsung heroes, this walking tour explores public art as public memory, weaving together Cleveland’s civic pride, cultural milestones, and evolving identity through its bronze and marble landmarks.

RESERVATIONS are requested but not required, walk-ups the day of tour are welcomed.
