The Sustainability Expo and Artisan Sale at SPACES on August 16, 2025 celebrates ongoing sustainable practices and projects unfolding throughout Northeast Ohio. Recognizing the intersection between art, sustainable agriculture, and climate justice, this event aims to build stronger community connections throughout Cleveland. Visitors are encouraged to support the creative and agricultural practices of artists, farmers, and community organizers through purchasing produce and products in an artisan sale and attending a series of presentations given by the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District and other local organizations.
The Sustainability Expo and Artisan Sale is one part of the culmination of To Those Who Nourish, a three-year partnership with UK-based artist duo Cooking Sections (Daniel Fernández Pascual and Alon Schwabe) which addresses the long-term health of Lake Erie. Beginning in 2022 with a public installation, this socially engaged art initiative recognizes the commitments made by five Cleveland-based small-scale farms in exploring alternative practices which ensure the long-term health of Lake Erie.
This event is generously supported by the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District.
