We return to Slavic Village on Monday next week for the first time in a few years; riders who've wanted to see this neighborhood under their pedals have had to experience it (with us, anyway) on weekends only recently.
That changes next Monday when we kick off Week 14 of our 2025 season at the Stefanski Stadium parking lot. We'll be set up by 6 and roll by 7 from the stadium complex next to Cleveland Central Catholic High School on Broadway Avenue just off of Aetna Road.
Please note that the Stefanski lot is on the small side and likely won't hold everyone interested in participating on Monday. Additional may be found on surrounding neighborhood streets; please check street signs to make sure you're legally parked before leaving your car on a street.
We've heard some complaints about the volume of noise during our rides and we're listening. If you plan on riding with a personal speaker to play your music, we're happy about that, but please keep it at a reasonable level. If people ten feet away from you have to shout over your music to be heard, that's simply too loud.
Also, we're still seeing a high number of flat tires upon arrival at our rides and not a week goes by where our Support and Gear team isn't changing a flat as the rest of the ride rolls out of our starting location. This puts our squad on the back foot and makes it harder for everyone in need of emergency mechanical attention during our rides. So please perform an ABC Bike Check before bringing your bike to one of our events:
Air: Be sure you have enough air in your tires
Brakes: Look to see that your brake pads are not worn
Chain and Cranks: Pull on your cranks to see that they are not loose and look to see that the chain is not rusted and it is free of gunk
Quick Release: Make sure all quick releases are closed
Check: Take a slow brief ride to check that your bike is working properly
