Light in Dark

Light in Dark is a new series of paintings by Hilary D. Gent and is inspired by the shifting reflections of light—like fireworks—on night waters. These works evoke fleeting glimmers of hope amidst life’s storms: moments where light, in all its intensity and unpredictability, interrupts darkness with clarity and power. Each canvas holds a tension between chaos and calm, echoing emotional landscapes and offering space for reflection. The show is at Tinnerman Lofts and opens 5:30-7pmT

The nature continues with our Plein Air Event that begins at 4 PM right before Hilary's show opens. Participation is open to everyone!

Leading up to the reception, all artists are invited to join us on the beautiful grounds of Tinnerman Lofts for a Plein Air session beginning at 4 PM. Bring your materials—paints, pens, pastels—and celebrate nature, light, and creative community in the open air. This is a casual, come-as-you-are gathering to honor the joy of making together before the evening’s festivities begin.
