* Hike: Jones Gap Falls Trail (approximately 2.2 miles round trip, moderate difficulty)

In the spirit of the national Opt Outside movement, admission to all South Carolina State Parks, including Jones Gap, is FREE on Black Friday, November 28, 2025! Come enjoy the great outdoors on the state park service!
A Note from Your Host: Jones Gap State Park is one of my absolute favorite parks to visit. It is truly a beautiful place, following the scenic Middle Saluda River through a lush, rocky gorge—the perfect setting to walk off that Thanksgiving feast!
⚠️ Critical Parking Information: Read Carefully!
All day-use parking at Jones Gap State Park must be reserved in advance. Demand for the park, especially on a free admission day, will be extremely high.
You MUST make your parking reservation as soon as possible via the South Carolina State Parks reservation system to guarantee entry. Without a reservation, you will likely be turned away.
🚘 Carpooling/Meeting Outside the Park
If you are planning to carpool in the park, I highly recommend we meet outside the park's entrance and drive in together with just one vehicle that has a reservation. This conserves the few available spaces. Please reach out to me and other members of the group if you are interested in meeting beforehand to arrange carpooling!
