As a trio, Hovan, Goodman, and Jensen will offer fresh takes on jazz and blues standards, including an original or two and Goodmans superb vocals.For more than 30 years, drummer Chris Hovan has been an active presence on the Cleveland music scene, performing with leaders such as Bob Niederriter, Mark Russo, Moises Borges, Josh Smith, the DanJo Big Band, and Just Jazz. He also works regularly as a percussionist with China Grove and Funkology. His own ensemblesthe Organic Trio and the Generations Quartethave appeared at many notable local and regional venues, including The Bop Stop, Blu Jazz, Con Alma, and Cliff Bells.A New Jersey native, guitarist Don Goodman has devoted most of his life to music. Now retired from his day job, he maintains a busy performance schedule, working with many of Clevelands finest musicians, among them Saam Cabot, Ed Lemmers, Edgar Cora, Scott Turner, and Jim Cirillo. His regular rotation of venues includes Seeing Double, The Society Lounge, and LaLas in the Lakes.A mainstay on the Cleveland music scene for many decades, collaborating with a variety of blues and jazz artists, Art Jensen is a regular member of the house band for the monthly jam sessions at The Treelawn led by drummer John Stebal. He is also a member of the Bill McRae group and has worked with Hovans Generations Quartet, Anthony Eble, and the Bogus Band.
