- **Event Description**: Live from New York City is Strange Majik, a 5-piece funk, soul and rock and roll group, bringin’ an unbridled, in-the-moment, energizing show to those in Greater Cleveland. Led by David Pattillo, the band is offering authentic expression and connection found among people who want a great rock and roll experience. 

Opening for the band is a DJ set led by Le Schlippy, an XCSB radio DJ well-known in Northeast Ohio as carving out safe spaces for all people to gather and enjoy themselves. 

This collaboration among artists across cities, across arts disciplines, and across venue types is an intentional cross-pollination effort that began in December of 2025, when multidisciplinary artists Susie Frazier first met the band at Arthur's Tavern in East Village, New York. What followed was a lot of cool conversations, getting to know each other – even those of us in the local community planning this show and another one the next night. Our hope is that those of you who live in Northeast Ohio will see this night as an open invitation to be with other people. We encourage everyone, no matter what they may be going through in their lives, to come dance it out, or watch along the edges if you'd prefer, but to simply feel some good vibes among your friends, experience something immersive with your extended community, and to get to know some art icons - all of whom were raised on rock and roll and continue to care deeply about the future of artists, musicians, and independent venues that support them. 

According to Goldmine Magazine, Strange Majik's music is ‘unadulterated sonic brilliance’, which can be defined in many ways — ways which always lead back to the artist exemplifying his elemental brand of iconic New York Rock, Disco, Psych and Soul.”
