Shovels & Rope know their way around a stage. Trading instruments and harmonies across the stage, this husband and wife band brings a show that’s constantly changing. The front-porch folk sound of one song might soon give way to something that rocks a little bit harder, which then transforms again to bluesy, country twang. One thing you can always be sure of though, is that they’ll pack liberal amounts of unlaced, gritty, honky-tonk oomf into their performance.
