This unique scientific meeting will explore the intersection of poetry and psychoanalysis. Salman Akhtar, MD, will guide attendees through an understanding of poetry’s healing potential and its connections to psychoanalytic theory and practice. Learn about the three links between poetry and psychoanalysis: poetic sentiment, poetic speech, and poetic specimen, with detailed clinical vignettes to bring these ideas to life.
