The Zentangle® Method is simple, mindful, and meditative pattern drawing. The focus is on the process, not the outcome. The Zentangle Method is a practice (think yoga or meditation), and it is a tool to increase mindfulness, improve focus and creativity, relieve stress, inspire problem solving and new ideas, and so much more.

Zentangle Inspired Art (ZIA) covers a wide range of styles and mediums. It is essentially an artwork that is inspired by and/or includes Zentangle pattern drawing. Tangled Sunflowers is a ZIA class—we’ll use the Zentangle Method to draw our sunflowers. No experience is required! If you can hold a pen and make a mark, you can do this.

Join Certified Zentangle Teacher (CZT) Brenda Campbell and create this fun piece! Enjoy 2 to 2 ½ hours of art and relaxation as we create a whimsical sunflower using easy, beginner tangles and add color to our tiles.

You'll also learn some of the history and philosophy of Zentangle, the 8 steps of the Zentangle Method, orientation to the simple tools used, 8–9 beginner tangle patterns, and simple shading techniques for each. Each student will receive a class kit which includes all the tools and materials needed for this project.
