Clear Lake has been selected for a Downtown Assessment through the Iowa Downtown Resource Center, a division of the Iowa Economic Development Authority (IEDA). The assessment team will be in Clear Lake from September 9–11, 2025, conducting interviews, touring the community, and identifying opportunities for improving downtown Clear Lake.

The public is encouraged to attend a Downtown Assessment Presentation on Thursday, September 11, at 12:00 PM at the Lakeview Room. Join community members and stakeholders as the Iowa Downtown Assessment Team shares their initial observations and early recommendations for strengthening and improving downtown Clear Lake.
