All District 9 YFA members are invited to participate in the YFA Discussion Meet. This includes members from Barron, Burnett, Chippewa, Dunn, Pierce, Polk, Rusk, Sawyer, St. Croix and Superior Shores.
The top 3 qualifiers from this contest will move on to the state contest held in conjunction with the WFBF YFA Conference, December 5-7, 2025 at the Kalahari Resort in Wisconsin Dells.
Event details include:
4:00pm - Tour of Kuhl Show Pigs (719 100th Avenue, Amery, WI)
5:00pm - Registration
5:30pm - YFA Discussion Meet
Followed by dinner and the Older Farmer & Agriculturist (OFA - Over age 35) Discussion Meet. Yard games will also be set up for attendees to enjoy!
The question to be discussed is: "Farmers and ranchers are at the forefront of environmental stewardship. From soil health to local ecosystems, producers are concerned about how to be both environmentally and financially sustainable. How can farmers and ranchers effectively advance environmental stewardship while balancing the needs of their farms?"
