For the 10th season, IN A LANDSCAPE: Classical Music in the Wild tours the American West. Mountain tops, old-growth forests, and sunny meadows replace the traditional concert hall in the series featuring pianist Hunter Noack on a 9-foot Steinway concert grand piano. Listen through wireless headphones and wander afield with the music as a soundtrack to your experience in the wild.
Along Snoqualmie Pass, 90 minutes east of Seattle, Suncadia is a unique resort and community that prioritizes open spaces, preserving pristine forests and meadows in the Cascade Mountains. Out of 6,400 acres, only 2,000 are able to be developed thanks to the easements secured in partnership with the Kittitas Conservation Trust. Hiking trails wind down towards the Cle Elum River, a popular roost for Bald Eagles and Spotted Owls. Arrive early for the concert to explore the resort, or book your stay to make the most of the Resort’s two golf courses, swimming pools, and farms.
NOTE: The walk to the concert site features Suncadia’s “1,000 Steps,” a grand staircase and trail down to the river. “1,000 Steps” includes 379 paved steps and another 0.8 miles along an unpaved trail to the river’s edge. Give yourself 15-20 minutes to enjoy the journey.
If you are unable to use the stairs to the concert site, limited shuttle service will be available. But please arrive early for the 15-minute shuttle ride from the lodge to the concert site.
This is 1 of 2 IN A LANDSCAPE concerts at Suncadia.
