Avalanche Awareness Class

Kittitas County Search & Rescue will be hosting an Avalanche Awareness class, taught by @nwacus on December 15th, and January 12th at 6:00 pm!

Win a Peips probe, transceiver and shovel by attending the 12/15/2025 class in Cle Elum!

This introductory class provides a basic approach to managing avalanche risk. NWAC instructors will explain how to access avalanche and mountain weather forecasts and recognize basic signs of avalanche danger.

This event is free, and all are welcome!

The December class will be held at the KCSR building, located at 109 Yakima Ave, Cle Elum, WA. The January class will be at CWU's SURC, room 137, 1007 Chestnut St, Ellensburg, WA.
