The Power of Printing

Discover stories about St. Louis people and moments that put the power of the printing press into action. From the tale of abolitionist Elijah Lovejoy to the surprising role that St. Louisans played in the revival of Oklahoma’s Cherokee Press to the local LGBTQIA+ printing collective Tiamat Press, these stories will explore the impact of the printed word. A conversation with the presenters and others will further illuminate the powerful connection between the press and social change.

Join us in the Grand Hall before our main-stage event to enjoy food and drinks available for purchase. Visit resource tables and buy goods from local St. Louis print artists.

SCHEDULE
5–7pm | Food and drinks available for purchase.
5–6:30pm | Visit resource tables, artist vendor tables, and partake in activities.
6:30–8:00pm | Head to the Lee Auditorium and listen to a conversation about the connection between social change and the press.
