Marbeling Clay on the Wheel

This session is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the pottery wheel and the unique technique of marbling in pottery. Students will learn how to throw a vessel combining our white and chocolate stoneware clays into a beautifully marbled piece. While beginners are welcome, we recommend you have had at least one beginner wheel class at some point so you can get the most time experiencing this stunning technique.

Your instructor will help you choose the best 2 finished pieces to safely kiln fire. Clay will be kiln fired and ready to pick up in approx 2-3 weeks with a beautiful clear glaze to allow your marbeling to shine!

Class Details:
Duration: 1.5 hours of hands-on pottery creation.
All materials and tools provided. –
Suitable for adults and older teens with at least one beginner pottery wheel class experience.

Note: Please don’t wear dangling jewelry or flowy sleeves, long hair should be pulled back. If you have very long nails, you may find wheel throwing difficult. Be prepared to get dirty, but the good news is, the clay washes right out of your clothes! We DO NOT provide aprons – please bring a towel.
