📚 Bob Speltz Day at the Antique Boat Museum
🗓 August 15 | 10AM–5PM
📍 750 Mary St, Clayton, NY
We’re thrilled to host the inaugural Bob Speltz Day—a new annual event celebrating the legacy of Bob Speltz, one of the most influential voices in the wooden boating world. Join us for a full day of activities highlighting the important role of the Lou Smith Library & Marion Clayton Link Archives and the value of preserving boating history for future generations.
Bob Speltz was a passionate historian, writer, and lifelong boating enthusiast whose multi-volume series The Real Runabouts remains one of the most respected resources on classic wooden boats. Through his meticulous research and storytelling, Speltz captured the history of countless boatbuilders, helping preserve the heritage of wooden boats and inspiring generations of collectors and restorers.
