If you don’t know who Alice is, she is an amazing singer and entertainer that moved to Saint Louis to study musical theater in the early 90’s. She abandoned that plan when she joined her first touring band, Three Merry Widows. She then segued into one of Saint Louis’s, most popular bands at the time, The Geyer Street Sheiks. Three albums later, Alice decided to move back to her home of Austin, Texas.
After many projects in Austin, including touring as Patsy Cline in the musical “Always Patsy Cline,” she joined one of Austin’s most beloved bands, Shiny Ribs, for the last nine years. The band toured extensively, and has appeared on Austin City Limits. She is currently a member of the fabulous Seth James Band in Austin. Most recently, Alice has moved to center stage and released her first solo album. It’s a cover album of some of her favorite songs from throughout the years (link below). She is currently in the studio recording her first original album.
This show at Joe’s Cafe was a hard one to book with so many conflicting schedules to deal with, but Friday, July 25th turned out to be the magic date that made it all come together. Please join us for a wonderful reunion with Alice and her dear friends and fans from Saint Louis.
