World Communion Sunday featuring The Miles College Choir

A Combined Worship Service with All Saints UMC
“World Communion Sunday” celebrates the unity and diversity of the universal Christian community. As we gather around the Lord’s table, we recognize our unity in Christ, joining with others worldwide in Holy Communion.
Embracing this commitment, United Methodists are dedicated to nurturing diverse leadership within the church by allocating funds for scholarships and leadership training for underrepresented students.
This year, we are honored to welcome the Miles College Choir as our guests as we celebrate World Communion Sunday ecumenically with Cahaba Springs Presbyterian Church.
Under the direction of (our very own!) Ms. Valerie R. Harris, the Miles College Golden Voices is one of the Premier Choirs comprised of men and women from across the nation. The choir exudes the message of culture, class, and civility through many genres of music. (Facebook)
They have performed across the nation and in such prestigious events like The Festival of Spirituals and the National Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) Gospel Competition. In addition, they were the featured choir for the 50th Anniversary of the Civil Rights Movement Celebration in Birmingham, Alabama. They also performed at a Congressional Black Caucus Breakfast in Washington D. C. and performed with rapper Big Sean at the UNCF Evening of Stars Program in Atlanta, Georgia. (Facebook)
Every donation given during the World Communion Day Service worship will be given to the Miles College Choir for scholarships and support in their vital ministry and community engagement.
This is a Sunday you do not want to miss!
Especially since All Saints UMC will not meet at Pump It Up for worship at 9:30 am on October 5. We will meet at Cahaba Springs at 11:00 a.m..
