Ashover Teatime Ride

Open to Derbyshire Full and Basic members only

Start time from 3pm, all away by 4.30pm and everyone expected back by 7pm latest.

A D3C challenging evening ride taking in the pastoral charm of the Ashover Valley with the River Amber meandering through it. This is not a fast ride, but both you and your horse should be fit as the terrain is tough in places. The ride follows quiet lanes, ancient bridleways and crosses the river in a shallow ford. Expect some steep climbs and lots of fantastic views. 13km, and 11km routes on offer. The longer route includes a rocky climb up and over old quarry workings and the 'Steep Bridleway' descent. Rosettes sponsored by Ashover Family Farm. The Sunflower field will be open during our event together with a catering van serving hot/cold drinks, cakes and ice cream.

Entry fee for riders includes a choice of hot/cold drink plus either a cake or ice cream.
