A lovely early season ride open to members and non members alike.
A Derbyshire 3 Challenge qualifier (D3C) This perfect start of the 2026 season ride starts from the Crich Tramway Village (with a large hard standing car park!). Under the iconic Crich Stand.
With distance options (so something for everyone!) of 12, 17 and 22km. This ride is a great early fittening ride.
The route follows quiet roads and lanes to link together various bridlepaths with lovely views of the Derbyshire Countryside around Crich and South Wingfield.
The longer route, dependent on weather may include areas of private land by kind permission of the local farmers
This ride offers a great opportunity to experience two small water crossings and passing through up to 4 farmyards (depending on the ride distance). There are also some great Derbyshire Hills to really kick off your fitness for 2026!
The route also runs past the derelict Wingfield Manor where Mary Queen of Scots was once held captive!
Please note there may be gates to open depending on helper numbers however these are horse friendly.
As always, there will be a photographer on route and rosettes, Rosettes kindly sponsored by Derwent Waste, will be given to all riders.
