Fall River Paddle

Want to get one more trip down the river for the year? The Butler County Conservation Board will be hosting a fall river paddle on Saturday, October 11. We will enjoy a morning on the Shell Rock River, and hopefully the fall tree colors will put on a little show for us while we paddle. We hope to paddle from Heery Woods Park near the new ramp to Shell Rock Park if weather and water conditions allow. This is about 9 miles on the river. The Butler CCB will provide kayaks, pfd’s and paddles for those that need them, and all participants much register prior to the event – as space will be limited. The paddle will begin at 9:00 AM, and participants will be in charge of their own carpooling for the event. You can register for this paddle by calling 319-346-6551.
