Ready to learn the cozy, creative art of knitting? Join us at ArtLink Studio for our monthly Beginner Knitting Workshop, perfect for first-time knitters or anyone wanting a refresher on the basics.
In this hands-on class, our experienced instructor will guide you step-by-step through the essential foundations of knitting, including:
How to hold knitting needles and yarn
Casting on stitches
Learning the two basic knitting stitches: the knit stitch and the purl stitch
Understanding tension
Binding off and finishing your piece
ArtLink can provide knitting needles, and we can also provide yarn if needed, but quantities and colors are limited. If you prefer, you are welcome to bring your own knitting needles—a size 8 needle is recommended for beginners. If you bring your own yarn, please choose a #4 medium-weight yarn. Solid-colored yarns are preferred to help you clearly see your stitches as you learn.
Whether you’re starting a new hobby or building creative confidence, this workshop will give you the skills to begin your knitting journey with success. Come learn, unwind, and stitch something wonderful!
