CADS TN - The annual Community CARES Walk & Expo will take place on Saturday October 18, 2025 from 1-4pm (NOTE the new TIME) at the Clarksville Wilma Rudolph Event Center.
Come join us for an afternoon of useful information and networking on local resources for individuals with different abilities.
This is a FREE fun event (with a DJ, dancing and free food) and is open to the public. Clarksville’s first responders will have some of their vehicles on site where participants can ask questions, climb (in some vehicles) and take pictures. Emergency situations can be difficult and scary and we hope the interactive experiences will lessen some of these difficulties. The event usually attracts over 60 vendors which include Special Olympics, TEIS, CCR&R, Buddy Ball, Camp CCK, local dance companies, medical transportation services and the list goes on and on.
New: CADS will provide a free poster making station for families to create their own poster to cheer on a loved one with different abilities as we stroll around the pond. (While supplies last.)
Additionally, we will offer interested families an opportunity to have an official Walk Sign created with a picture of their family member with different abilities. A donation of $100 will secure a Walk Sign for your family member with different abilities. The donation can be made via CADS TN Venmo (see attached in the discussion section). The Walk Sign will be available on the morning of October 18th - at the event. Any community families interested in having an official Walk Sign created should upload payment to CADS Venmo. Please notate CADS Walk photo donation and contact information in the comments area on Venmo. Thereafter you will be given a number to send a high quality photo to.
For CADS Families - Once the $100 donation has been made via CADS Venmo, directly to Sandra at CEC via check or cash you will be provided a number to send a high quality photo to. Notate contact information in the comment area on Venmo.
